Inspired by the rich history and cultural significance of tea competitions in ancient China, 7654321 Studio has created a stunning packaging design for the 2018 "Zhuzi Cup" Wuyi Mountain Folk Tea Competition Gold Award Tea. This design captures the essence of the competition and combines it with elegant calligraphy to create a truly unique and captivating package.

The Chinese calligraphy featured on the packaging is based on the textual meaning and structure of the "Tea Competition". It is domineeringly written, with thick and chic strokes that resemble words and paintings. The attention to detail and the combination of elegant and heavy feelings make this design stand out.

The design team at 7654321 Studio wanted to capture the tension and excitement of a tea match in their packaging. The calligraphy embodies the spirit of "Yi Zhan Cheng Ming, Yan Ao Jiang Hu" - the victory or defeat of a tea match, just like the victory or defeat of a football match today. The packaging is not only visually stunning but also tells a story and creates a sense of anticipation for the tea inside.

The packaging is made using special paper and features screen spot color printing, bronzing, and transfer metal stickers. The dimensions of the package are 160*40*245mm, providing ample space for the tea and other contents.

Upon receiving the package, one can't help but admire the calligraphy on the surface. Opening the package reveals a small tea box and a certificate of collection, adding to the overall experience and value of the design.

The project started in October 2018 in Fuzhou, China, and was completed in December 2018. The packaging was officially launched in January 2019, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into its creation.

It is worth noting that this design has received recognition in the form of the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2020.
